Little and Often

...that's the key to a new allotment.

Spent a couple of hours on the plot this afternoon, digging over the first chunk of ground and investigating some of the suspicious mounds at the far end. As suspected, they seem to contain a mixture of roots, earth, plastic bags and/or sheeting (decomposing), wire and bricks. Why people insist on dumping this sort of rubbish on allotments I'll never know. It's going to take some effort to clear a space at the far end for a shed, but we'll need to tackle that before long, as without a shed I have to take all my tools to and from the allotments each time. Also, there's nowhere to make a cup of tea...
